Having my kitchen redone with a new peninsula layout with quartzite stone. The layout is as shown below. There is a overhang of 12 1/2" in the front. It is already installed couple of weeks ago. Our initial plan was to have more overhang and so corbels were built in the plan. The fabricator did say that the 12.5" overhang with current base cabinet layout does not need any additional support and so it is now installed with no supports. I still want to get second and other stone expert opinions if a corbel is still needed for this layout and measurements. Appreciate any inputs.
