จากที่ลองโหลดมาใช้งาน แล้วหาวิธีการติดตั้ง และวิธีแก้ไขปัญหาของการติดตั้ง จากบอร์ดผมหาไม่เจอเลย หรือเจอแล้วก็ไม่เข้าใจ เพราะว่าผมมือใหม่นะครับหรือว่าผมเบาปัญญาเองนะครับ เลยลองผิดลองถูกเองจนเจอวิธีครับ
สำหรับผู้ที่ใช้ IIS + MySQL 5.0 + PHP 5.x.x และเรียกใช้ PHP ได้ไม่มีปัญหานะครับ ถ้ามีปัญหาในการติดตั้งลองไปดูที่

ขั้นตอน
1. ให้ไปโหลดตัวติดตั้งภาษาอังกฤษมานะครับ ตอนนี้ใหม่สุด ver 1.1.3 จาก http://www.simplemachines.org/download/ เลือก download จาก Full Download แล้วก็ Zip File
2. นำไปวางใน wwwroot แล้วก็ติดตั้งตามปกติ (เรียก http://localhost/ชื่อไดเรกทอรี่ของ SMF/install.php)
3.ทำตามขั้นตอนไปเรื่อย ๆ ถ้า PHP คุณสมบูรณ์จะผ่านทุกขั้นตอน
4.เมื่อผ่านขบวนการติดตั้งเรียกร้อยแล้ว ให้ไปโหลด ภาษาไทยมาจาก เว็บนี้แหล่ะ นะครับ
5.แตกไฟล์แล้วคัดลอกเอาไฟล์จากไฟล์เดอร์ที่เราแตกไฟล์ไว้ ...\Themes\default\languages
6.นำไปวางในโหล์เดอร์ ของตัวภาษอังกฤษที่เราติดตั้งไว้ที่เว็บเซอร์เวอร์ของเรา ...\Themes\default\languages
7.ที่นี้ก็ลองเข้าไปใช้บอร์ดที่เราติดตั้ง http://localhost/ชื่อไดเรกทอรี่ของ SMF/index.php
8.มันจะเป็นภาษาอังกฤษอยู่ ช่างมัน Login เข้าไป
9.ไปที่ ปุ่ม Admin แล้วดูในส่วนของ Configulation อยู่ด้านซ้ายของหน้าจอนะครับ มองหาคำสั่ง Server Settings แล้วคลิกเลย
10.ดูในรายละเอียดมองหา Default Forum Language แล้วลองเลือกดูครับมันจะมีอังกฤษ กับ ไทย นะครับ
11.แค่นี้แหล่ะครับ สำหรับมือใหม่ที่ยังติดตั้งไม่ได้นะครับ แล้วก็หาหนทางไม่เจอ
ถ้ามีปัญหาอะไรก็ลอง Post ต่อมาเลยก็ได้นะครับถ้าไม่จนปัญญาจริง ๆ ผมจะพยายามช่วยนะครับ
และก็ท่านใดจะเสริมอะไร ก็ Post กันต่อไปได้เลยนะครับ

ส่วนมากที่มีปัญหามักจะทะเลาะกับ IIS น่ะครับ ผมเองไม่แตะ IIS เลย ใช้แต่ Appserv อย่างเดียว ไม่เคยมีปัญหา
Appserv ไม่ต้อง Config อะไรมากมาย ลงตัวเดียวครั้งเดียว ใช้ได้เลย สะดวกสำหรับมือใหม่มากกว่า ;D

ใช่ครับ ถ้าใช้พวกโปรแกรมพวก Appserv หรือ wmserver หรืออื่น ๆ จะไม่ค่อยมีปัญหาใด ๆ ครับเห็นด้วยอย่างยิ่งครับผม เพราะโปรแกรมพวกนี้จะ config ค่าให้เลย และค่อนข้างจะเปิดกว้างกับทุก CMS หรือ LMS แต่ถ้ากับ IIS ปัญหาค่อยข้างจุกจิก กวนใจมันสำคัญที่ไฟล์ PHP.ini กับ MySQL.ini ต้องปรับแต่งให้ดี ๆ ครับ ของผมก็ยังไม่ค่อยชัวร์เท่าไหร่ครับ แต่อาศัยคลำทางไปเรื่อย ๆ ครับ

ผมติดตั้งได้แล้วครับ ;D ;D ช่วยเหลือได้มากเลยครับ เดินหามาตั้งนาน สุดยอดจริงๆ

เพิ่งจะทำเว็บบอร์ดเป็นครั้งแรกค่ะ มีHostแล้ว ระบบปฏิบัติการ CentOS ก็ Linux น่ะค่ะ เพื่อนแนะนำให้ใช้ SMF ทำ แต่ไม่ได้แนะนำวิธีติดตั้ง ลองupload ไปแล้ว แต่พอจะไปติดตั้งมันฟ้องว่า
The installer was unable to detect MySQL support in PHP. Please ask your host to ensure that PHP was compiled with MySQL, or that the proper extension is being loaded.

แต่คลิ๊กแล้วไม่เกิดอะไรเลย ต้องทำอย่างไรคะ

ผม upload ไฟล์ทั้งหมดของ SMF ลงใน account เดียวกับ wordpress นะครับ หรือว่าผมต้องลงไว้ที่ directory เดียวกัน มันมีไฟล์ชื่อ index.php เหมือนกันครับ เวลาลงแล้วมันจะถามว่าจะ save ทับหรือไม่ ผมไม่กล้าเลยเปิด folder ใหม่ชื่อว่า forums แล้วอัพโหลดไปที่นั่นครับ พอจะ install มันเป็นแบบที่เห็นในภาพครับ
ผมควรทำไงถึงจะให้มันมีชีวิตขึ้นมาครับ งงมาก ??? ??? ??? ???

ผมก็เป็นเหมือนกันนี้เด๊ะเลยครับ ทำยังไงต่อขอรับ วานบอก คือว่า ยังไม่เคยเจอใครตอบคำถามได้ตรง ตร๊งงงง ตรงสักที คือทำความเข้าใจนิดนึงว่า ไม่รู้คือไม่รู้เลยครับ 555 ไม่รู้ศัพท์เทคนิคอะไรทั้งนั้น ไม่เคยทำมาก่อน กรุณาอธิบายอย่างละเอียดด้วยเถอะครับ ขอบพระคุณรุนช่องขอร๊าบบบ

ใช้โฮสท์ฟรีหรือเปล่า ถ้าใช่คือต้องทำใจครับ db server มัน down

อยากลง SMF ใน server ของบริษัท (Intranet ) ทำไงครับ
แนะนำหน่อย ขอ Link หรือ หนังสือก็ได้ครับ อยากทำเป็น :)
แล้วถ้าจะลองกับ คอม 2 ตัวก่อนจะเริ่มยังไงดี
หรือว่ามัน test ได้ใน Notebook ตัวเดียวเลยได้ป่าวครับ :)

ข้อความนี้หมายความว่า ไม่สามารถติดต่อ ftp server ด้วยรายละเีอียดเหล่านี้ได้
เท่าที่ลองเล่นดูนะครับ จะมีปัญหาที่กรอกข้อมูลไม่ตรงอยู่ 2 ช่อง คือ Server กับ Install Path
Server ให้ดูที่ hosting ว่า ftp server ระบุไว้ว่าอย่างไรเช่น เวป ispace.in.th มี ftp คือ ftp.ispace.in.th เป็นต้น
Install Path ถ้าใช้ FTP client ตัวไหน เวลาที่เรา upload ไฟล์ ก็ให้ดูว่า เอาไปไว้ที่ไหน copy path อันนั้นมาวางไว้เลยครับ
